Full‑Lock Figure‑Eights
Skill 3 of 6
Why it matters
Tight turns teach balance, throttle/clutch timing, and lower‑body steering. They are the safest place to learn traction management.
Principles
- Look through the turn; allow the bars to go to full lock.
- Use light rear‑brake drag and clutch in the zone to calm the bike.
- Weight the outside peg and keep your torso tall.
How to train
Place two markers and link smooth figure‑eights in both directions. Start wide, bring them closer as you get smoother. Add slight slopes later.
Progress cues
Steady cadence, quiet engine, and clean circles without dabs.
