Clutch Feathering
Skill 5 of 6
Why it matters
The clutch is your traction control. Feathering lets you move at sub‑walking speeds and place the bike exactly where you want it.
Principles
- Keep throttle nearly constant; use clutch to meter torque.
- Feel for the engagement point; avoid blips that break traction.
How to train
Ride straight lines at walking pace in second gear. Aim for silence and steadiness. Add gentle turns and tiny climbs as you improve.
Progress cues
No lurching, no clutch smell, and the bike creeps under complete control.
