Updated , after round 7 of the world championship.
The 2026 season so far
2026 has been Manuel Lettenbichler's year again. He won five of the first seven FIM Hard Enduro World Championship rounds, a fifth straight Erzbergrodeo, a record-equalling seventh Red Bull Romaniacs and a third Tennessee Knockout in a row. He leads the world championship with one round to go.
In the world championship, two riders have beaten him to a round win. Mitch Brightmore won his first world championship round at Silver Kings in Idaho and has been second at three more. At Sea to Sky he won the Beach Race. Teodor Kabakchiev won the Roof of Africa and was second at Romaniacs. At Sea to Sky he won the Forest Race, then was disqualified from the Mountain Race for receiving outside help, a decision he disputes. Off the world championship, Billy Bolt took his sixth SuperEnduro world title and Trystan Hart his sixth straight US Hard Enduro title.
The finale is the 24MX Hixpania Hard Enduro at Aguilar de Campoo, Spain, on 23–25 October. Lettenbichler goes there 32 points ahead of Brightmore, 197 to 165. A round is worth at most 33 points, and a tie on points goes to the rider with more of the best placings. Lettenbichler has won five rounds to Brightmore's one, so one point makes him champion.
