Hixpania 2025 results
Held 19–21 September 2025, round 4 of 7 of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship.
Graham Jarvis won the 2025 race at 50. He and Sonny Goggia were the only riders to complete the full course, including the final Hixpania Hill. Goggia finished 14 seconds behind him.
Billy Bolt and Manuel Lettenbichler swapped the lead many times in Sunday's race. Before the start, the riders asked for changes to the final section. The organiser says the requests came about 15 minutes before the start, and that some changes were made during the race. The leading riders then stopped as a group before the final section. Bolt got there first, about 20 seconds ahead of Lettenbichler. They rode the hill together for the fans, but not as a race.
Riders who stopped were classified at their previous checkpoint. That put Bolt third, Lettenbichler fourth and Román fifth. The FIM jury approved this. Bolt was still handed the Hixpania sword at the top of the hill.
On 26 September 2025 the organiser, the championship director, Bolt, Lettenbichler and Román signed a joint statement. Román was named track inspector, to work with the organiser on the 2026 course.
Bolt won the prologue in 7:29.33, ahead of Mitch Brightmore and Lettenbichler. In the championship, Bolt took the 20 points for the main race. Lettenbichler left Spain leading with 102 points, from Bolt on 89 and Brightmore on 74.

The main race. El Camino Perdido is the deciding race: a multi-lap race of 2 hours plus a final lap. In 2025 the lap was about 4.5 km, with two checkpoints. The top 10 started inside a cave, and after two hours the final Hixpania Hill section opened in the stadium.
Points. The 2026 championship rules score three competitions at each round. The prologue pays 3, 2 and 1 points to the top three. The sprint pays 10 down to 1 to the top ten. The main event pays 20, 17, 15 and down to 1 to the top 15. The most a rider can score at one round is 33 points.
The title. Going into Hixpania, Manuel Lettenbichler leads Mitch Brightmore by 32 points, 197 to 165. Teodor Kabakchiev is third on 133, too far back to win. A tie on points goes to the rider with more of the best placings, and Lettenbichler has won five rounds to Brightmore's one. So one point makes Lettenbichler champion. Brightmore needs all 33 points, with Lettenbichler scoring none.

Hixpania history and records
The first Hixpania ran in 2016. It had a street race on Friday, the Súper Encierro, which Graham Jarvis won by 8 seconds from Alfredo Gómez. On Saturday, the Campoo X-treme ran 60 km around the Aguilar reservoir in the rain. Mario Román won it. Gómez won Sunday's Camino Perdido by more than 3 minutes from Jarvis, who lost about 8 minutes fixing his exhaust.
In 2017 the overall came from points across the three days. Jarvis was 7th in the prologue and 4th on Saturday. He was last away from Sunday's start, then won the race. In his words, he and Jonny Walker "tied on points but my win was enough for victory". Billy Bolt was fourth.
In 2018, the third edition, Román won the prologue in the town square. On Saturday, three laps of a 40 km loop around the reservoir, Jarvis crossed the line first but was penalised for missing a checkpoint. That gave the day to Román. Only three Caballeros finished all three laps. Jarvis won Sunday, and Román's second place was enough for the overall win.
In June 2019, Hixpania was round 4 of the World Enduro Super Series. Gómez won Friday and Saturday. Román won Sunday's 2 hour 30 minute race by 1 minute 27 seconds from Jarvis. Jarvis and Gómez both finished on 44 points, and Jarvis took the overall win.
The 2020 race, planned for 9–11 October, was cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic.
In 2021 Hixpania was round 7 of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship. Bolt won Friday and Saturday, but Gómez won the deciding Sunday race and the event. In 2022 Gómez won Friday's SuperEncierro. Trystan Hart was given Saturday's race after a speeding penalty cost Manuel Lettenbichler the win. Lettenbichler then led Sunday's 2.5-hour race from the start and won his first world title.
In 2023 poor weather cancelled the Friday prologue, so Saturday's Campoo X-treme paid the prologue points. Bolt won it. Lettenbichler won Sunday with a seven-minute lead into the final climbs, and took his second world title with a round to spare. Román was second and Bolt third.
In 2024 Hixpania was the final round. Bolt was fastest in Saturday's 7 km time trial by 25 seconds, won the evening straight-rhythm race in Aguilar, then won Sunday's two-hour race in the rain by almost seven minutes.
In 2025 Jarvis won for a third time, after the leaders stopped before the final hill. The winner of Hixpania gets a shield and a sword.
