Rider overview

The Xtrainer 300 is Beta's easier-going 300 two-stroke. Beta says it is "the ideal machine for those taking their first steps on mountain tracks, as well as for those seeking a 2-stroke to tackle the challenges of hard enduro."

It sits below the RR X-Pro 300 in Beta's range. Beta USA calls the X-Pro "the bridge between the agile, entry-level Xtrainer and the race-equipped, high-spec RR Race models".

The engine is a 292.3 cc single with a Keihin PWK 36 carburettor and an electronic oil pump, so there is no premix. The Beta Progressive Valve on the exhaust can be adjusted from outside the engine. The bike has electric start, six gears and a cooling fan as standard.

For 2027 Beta fitted red plastics and a black-painted frame, a first for the Xtrainer line. It also fitted a stronger chain guide and a new solid, corrugated Nissin rear disc.

Xtrainer 300 or RR X-Pro 300?

Both bikes use a 300 two-stroke with a Keihin PWK 36 carburettor and an electronic oil pump. The differences are in the chassis. These are Beta's 2027 figures:

  • Fork: 43 mm on the Xtrainer, 48 mm on the X-Pro.
  • Travel: 270 mm front and rear on the Xtrainer, 295 mm front and 290 mm rear on the X-Pro.
  • Seat height: 910 mm against 930 mm.
  • Dry weight: 99 kg against 103.5 kg.
  • Tank: 8.5 litres against 9.5 litres.
  • US list price: $8,990 against $10,990, both plus $595 destination.

Lowboy version

Beta USA also sells a 2027 Xtrainer 300 Lowboy. Its seat is 34.6 inches high, about 1.2 inches lower than the standard bike's 35.8 inches. Beta USA says it "shares the same specifications as the standard version, except for shorter suspension travel."
